GCC certification of seven Gulf countries

 

GCC is the abbreviation of Gulf Cooperation Council. The GCC was established in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on May 25, 1981. Its member states are Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, the kingdom of Sudan, the kingdom of Bahrain and Yemen.

 

1. A certificate can be used for 5 years without any additional annual fee. If the shipment volume is large, the cost of each shipment is actually very low. (you can do it for 3 years, of course)

 

2. One certificate can be used by seven countries, including: bahrin; Kuwait; Oman; Qatar; Saudi Arabia; United Arab Emirates; and Yemen.

In the field of auto parts: in fact, there are two kinds of compulsory requirements, and the others are voluntary certification

Certification mode: type test + relevant data, which can be issued after passing the examination. (some license issuing units may need to conduct factory audit)

 

The type test is mainly based on GSO According to the standard 42, the general safety of automobiles is inspected in various items, including dimensions, total mass, stability, engine, fuel system, cooling system, electrical system, emission inspection items, emission and steering system inspection items, control devices, tires and rims, seats, seat belts, glass, rear-view mirror, horn, exterior noise, flammability, lamp installation and speed Odometer, overspeed alarm and speed limiter, wiper and defrosting system, name plate, VIN, onboard tools, user's manual, vehicle collision and door, top extrusion test, etc.

 

Due to the climate characteristics of high temperature, salt fog and wind sand in the Gulf region, GCC requires some special inspection items for certified vehicles, including battery, radiator, spare tire and vehicle warning signs.

 

GSO has special regulations for pilgrimage vehicles, which must meet the relevant standards of GSO.

 

All the above tests need to be completed in GSO authorized laboratory.

 

It is estimated that the foreign trade partners of the whole vehicle and tire are relatively small. We will not give a detailed introduction here. If necessary, we will talk about it separately.

 

Toys

 

GSO requires all toys to pass GCC certification.

 

In fact, GCC certification of toys is similar to that of other countries. It is mainly to test the products first and then issue certificates after reviewing the data.

 

For specific test requirements, GSO is also a hybrid test project of various countries and regions, such as en71-1, en71-2 and EN71-3. In fact, this is the EU toy test requirements, of course, there are also PD, CD, o-benzene test requirements, which seems to be similar to CPSIA and CPC of the United States, as well as PAHs, which is similar to the German requirements.

 

Of course, electric toys will be required to do: EN62115 or iec62115 safety requirements for electric toys

 

Chemical testing is based on uniform materials to charge, the more materials, the more costs, specific cases can be analyzed.

 

Low voltage electrical equipment and appliances - LVD

 

Product voltage range: AC 50 ~ 1000V AC; DC 75 ~ 1500V DC

 

Product classification: list (1) low risk and list (2) high risk

 

List (1) the scope of low-risk products is not issued, which belongs to the declaration of conformity, and is subject to internal control. Customs clearance can be carried out with COC certificate of each country or corresponding third-party product safety test report.

 

List (2) covers 13 categories of electronic and electrical products with high risk, and the certification authority is required to be the GSO announcement agency

Certification mode: type test + relevant data, which can be issued after passing the examination.

 

Test standard of type test: GSO Gulf standard or latest IEC standard

 

Therefore, GCC certification is the certification mode of CB certification + G7 national deviation test

GCC application process

 

Apply: the customer applies, we quote, and then guide the customer to provide the required information and samples

 

Evaluation test: after receiving the sample, our company will arrange the test and issue the corresponding report, or the customer will provide the report approved by GSO (for the specific test standard and whether it is approved by GSO, please contact our engineer for confirmation)

 

Issue certificate: GSO notice agency will issue the certificate after the data is approved (3-year or 5-year certificate can be selected)
