Introduction to regulations

In 2006, the European Union enacted a compulsory standard ROHS directive, which is mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products. The purpose is to eliminate six substances including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electronic and electrical products, and the content of lead should not exceed 0.1%

In 2015, the European Union issued directive (EU) 2015 / 863 in its official journal to amend Annex II of RoHS 2.0 (2011 / 65 / EU), and formally listed four kinds of biphenyl dicarboxylate (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DiBP) in Annex II of RoHS 2.0, with the limit value of 0.1%

After the issuance of the directive, EU Member States should transfer the directive to national regulations before December 31, 2016

In order to give enterprises time to prepare, the corresponding transition period is also given in the directive

From July 22, 2019, all electronic and electrical products (except medical and monitoring equipment) are required to meet this restriction

From July 22, 2021, medical equipment (including in vitro medical equipment) and monitoring equipment (including industrial monitoring equipment) will also be included in the control scope
Application steps:

(1) Provide material list / BOM

(2) Evaluation price

(3) Arrange sample delivery for testing

(4) Issue test report
