The Singapore consumer goods Protection Act 1991 specifies the Singapore standards, productivity and Innovation Council as the product safety functional body responsible for licensing and registering products covered by the consumer protection (safety requirements) registration scheme (CPS). Only registered products with the safety mark can be sold in Singapore. In Singapore, the relevant units responsible for selling the regulated goods to consumers must register each model with the safety authorities. This product must be marked with a mandatory test certificate when logging in. At present, Singapore only requires security, while EMC is only voluntary.

Safety requirements: in accordance with IEC standards, the products must also meet the tropical conditions test, and Singapore certification must provide local agents, certificate holders are also local agents. The product can enter the new slope sales after obtaining PSB

Certification considerations

 

1. The holder of the certificate is a local registered company in Singapore;

 

2. No factory inspection and annual fee;

 

3. The validity period of the certificate is three years;

 

4. If the product is in-line plug-in power supply, the plug shall meet the relevant requirements, for example, the European standard plug shall comply with en50075, and the British standard plug shall meet the requirements of bs1363 or ss246, and relevant plug test report shall be provided;

 

5. There is no serial application for product certification, and each certificate can only cover a single model and one trademark;

 

6. If holding valid CB certificate or report, it is generally not necessary to provide samples;

 

7. Certification standard: IEC standard + Singapore difference, or SS standard;
