1、 What is Tanzania PVOC certification

The executive director of the Tanzania National Bureau of standards (TBS) has issued a formal official confirmation document to implement and implement the PVOC.

The so-called Tanzania PVOC certification can also be regarded as Tanzania COC certification, that is, the declaration of conformity exported to Tanzania, which belongs to the certification of pre shipment inspection.

All controlled products covered by the PVOC procedure must be inspected, and the products shall meet the Tanzanian national standards and other recognized standards. On this basis, the product conformity certificate (COC) shall be issued. The procedure is scheduled to begin on December 31, 2011. The controlled products covered by Tanzania PVOC include machinery and equipment, daily necessities, food, cosmetics, chemical products, furniture, office equipment, adult products, electronic appliances, kitchen and bathroom products, containers, clothes, textile bags, shoes, automobile and motorcycle accessories, second-hand products, etc., which are not prohibited to be imported from Tanzania, and need certification.

The certificate of conformity (COC) is a necessary document to ensure the smooth customs clearance of goods. This certificate certifies that the products comply with relevant Tanzania technical regulations and national, regional and international standards. Failure to submit the certificate of conformity issued by the inspection agency may result in delay in customs clearance or fine or even return of the goods to the exporting country. At present, goods exported to Tanzania need to apply for COC before export. If the goods arrive at the port of destination after December 30, 2011, COC customs clearance is required. Otherwise, customers may not be able to clear customs smoothly
