一. What is CEC
The California Energy Commission (CEC) first established electrical energy efficiency standards in 1977. They apply to appliances sold or offered for sale in California. These standards include minimum operating efficiency levels and other cost-effective measures to promote the use of energy-saving and water-saving equipment.
After the standard is passed, CEC will notify stakeholders and manufacturers of the final electrical efficiency test requirements, certification instructions and procedures to comply with the standard.
To sell or offer to sell in California, electrical manufacturers selling their products are responsible for testing them in CEC-approved laboratories and obtaining third-party certification. After obtaining the certification, the manufacturer must submit its documents and data to CEC for uploading to the agency’s online modern appliance efficiency database system (MAEDBS). Uncertified regulated electrical appliances cannot be legally sold or offered for sale in California

4. The laboratory is responsible for registering CEC
5. After successful registration, the registration information can be queried in the MAEDBS system

1. The company itself registers an account in the name of the manufacturer
2. After the account is successfully registered, it is authorized to the corresponding laboratory to register in the system
3. The submitted registration information must be consistent with the reported data
4. After registration, you can check the registration system in the MAEDBS system within 2-3 working days.
