FTC label of Lamps
一. What is Lighting Facts label/US FTC energy efficiency label
The Lighting Facts label is the U.S. Department of Energy's way of controlling the energy efficiency of products. The sub-label provides shoppers with the information they need to purchase the most energy-efficient light bulbs to meet their lighting needs.
二. Which products correspond to the FTC energy efficiency label?
The FTC Lighting Facts label and primary display panel information must appear on the packaging of most general service "lamps" with moderately threaded bases, including most incandescent, compact fluorescent (CFL), and light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs, where incandescent Lamps and compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) not only need energy efficiency labels, but also need to be registered on the official website; LED bulbs do not belong to the scope of registration, only energy efficiency labels are required.
三. What information does the FTC energy efficiency label reflect?
> The light output of each lamp included in the package, expressed as "brightness", rounded to the nearest five in the average initial lumens
> Estimated annual energy cost per lamp included in the package, expressed in "Estimated Annual Energy Cost" in US dollars and based on: average initial wattage,
three-hour daily usage, and
>11 cents ($0.11) per kWh
>Lifetime of each lamp in the package, expressed in years, rounded to the nearest tenth (based on three hours of daily usage)

四. What should I do if the packaging of my general service light is too small to be labeled with Lighting Facts?
If the total surface area of the product package available for labeling is less than 24 square inches, and the package shape or size cannot accommodate standard labels, you can use smaller linear labels.
五. How to apply for the FTC for lamps and lanterns
1. It is necessary to confirm whether the lamps are within the scope of FTC. Not all lamps need to be FTC. The above explains which lamps need to be FTC.
2. Confirm whether the lamps and lanterns under control belong to the scope of DOE. If they belong to the scope of DOE, DOE needs to be done.
3. Confirm the model, provide a prototype, and test it
4. After passing the test, make the corresponding FTC logo according to the data
