Kucas certification

Introduction to kucas certification

The national industrial administration of Kuwait (PAI) issued Circular No. g / TBT / N / kwt / 7 on December 21, 2005. The new kucas, titled kucas, will replace the current ICCP.

The program provides for conformity assessment procedures to be undertaken by the importer, rather than by the exporter or manufacturer of each exporting country such as ICCP, when the goods arrive at the port of Kuwait. Whether it is based on the "quality assessment" of the approved products, or the "quality assurance" of any batch of products issued by the national certification authority, such as the "quality assurance report" issued by any other national certification agency, is not based on the "quality assessment" of the approved products After arriving at the port of Kuwait, sample and inspect the manufactured products (such as oil, paint and cement) from the shipment and at Pai laboratory, or other specialized laboratories in neighboring countries if necessary; selectively inspect and deliver the products in Kuwait port according to the risk analysis and the conformity records of past importers or manufacturers; the same for those without Kuwait quality mark Domestic producers of regulated products implement similar systems; initiate local market surveillance programs. The proposed approval date and effective date of the qualified assurance plan: March 17, 2006.

Kucas certification ICCP program

1) All specified products must comply with the national technical regulations of Kuwait or relevant international standards;

2) Each batch of specified products must be accompanied by ICCP Certificate (CC) for customs clearance.

3) Upon arrival at the port of entry of the importing country, the specified goods without CC certificate may be rejected or sample test may be required. If it does not meet the requirements of the importing country, it will be ordered to return to the port of shipment, resulting in unnecessary delay and loss of the exporter or manufacturer.

The ICCP program provides three ways for exporters or manufacturers to obtain CC certificates. Customers can choose the most appropriate way according to the nature of their products, the degree of compliance with standards, and the frequency of shipment. CC certificate is issued by Pai Country Office (PCO) authorized by Kuwait.

If it meets the ICCP certification program, there are three forms:

1) Pre shipment inspection (PSI) and pre shipment test (PST).

Customs clearance and inspection fee: if the FOB amount is less than or equal to USD 200000: fee = 0.45% × FOB amount (minimum: CHY 1750); if FOB amount is between USD 200000 and USD 1000000: fee = USD 900 + (fob-200000 USD) 0.3%; if FOB amount exceeds USD 1 million

2) Registration and pre shipment inspection:

Cost: 100usd + 30USD / model. The inspection fee is the same as above
