What is C COC certification?
 
COC is the abbreviation of certificate of conformity, which belongs to pre shipment inspection. Many countries require traders to apply for COC before shipment, otherwise they can't clear customs at the port of destination. The customs of the importing country needs the importer to provide the certificate of conformity issued by the recognized international certification company for the batch of goods. SASO stipulates that the imported goods must have COC clearance certificate.
 
 
 
Which countries need to apply for COC certification?

What information should be prepared for COC certification?
 
 
 
1. Packing list
 
 
 
2. Proforma invoice
 
 
 
3. IDF: import license shall be handled by the importer in the importing country, and then provided to the exporter for PVOC
 
 
 
4. Product test report: if there is already a test report, it is not necessary to repeat the test, except for those requiring sampling test. Most products can accept ISO + internal test report
 
 
 
5. PVOC application form: the blank application form is provided by the handling agency
 
 
 
COC certification process:
 
 
 
A. Application for certification (RFC) submitted by exporter
 
 
 
b. COC national office reviews certification application form / certification document
 
 
 
c. The COC national office appoints designated inspectors to carry out on-site inspection
 
 
 
d. Carry out bulk sampling test
 
Final certificate of compliance (COC) issued by COC Country Office
 
 
 
Precautions for handling COC certification:
 
 
 
1. Application form, packing list and invoice information shall be sealed;
 
 
 
2. Validity period of test report
 
 
 
(1) For disposable medical products, dry batteries, stationery, cosmetics, disposable sanitary products, chemical fertilizers, textiles, ceramic tiles and PVC flooring, recent test reports (within 3 months) should be provided, and the validity period of test reports for other products can be extended to one year;
 
 
 
(2) CE certificate or safety performance test report shall be provided for electrical products;
 
 
 
(3) For legal inspection products, the copy of certificate replacement certificate or release certificate issued by CIQ, test report, health certificate, etc. should be provided; (it should be noted that the shelf life after Hong Kong should be controlled within 75%. If not, sampling test should be arranged at the applicant's expense)
 
 
 
3. If the goods are packed with wood and plant materials, please provide the certificate or visible identification of the official or its authorized organization.
 
 
 
Export to Kenya requires COC certificate, which is used for customs clearance at the port of destination. COC can only be issued by authorized third-party institutions, and CCPIT is not qualified to issue COC certificate from Kenya. If applying for COC, please submit the application form, packing list invoice, IDF and other information before delivery, and arrange the inspection after the documents are approved. IDF is handled by the importer in Kenya.
